Consultations
A tooth that doesn't hurt isn't necessarily a healthy tooth. An early cavity or a gum problem can develop for a long time without any symptoms. Detecting them early usually means simpler, less invasive treatment.
What a check-up includes :
-
a full clinical examination of your teeth, gums and mouth;
-
a discussion about your habits and any discomfort you may have;
-
personalised oral hygiene advice.
How often should you have a check-up ?
The ideal frequency depends on the individual. The practice generally recommends a check-up every 6 to 12 months. During your visit, we will agree with you on the schedule that suits you best.
Dental emergencies
Some situations cannot wait.
We treat :
-
acute pain (sharp, throbbing pain that keeps you from sleeping or eating);
-
infection (swollen gum or cheek, abscess, persistent bad taste);
-
a tooth that is broken, displaced or knocked out following an impact;
-
a filling, crown or bridge that has come loose;
-
any other situation that worries you and requires prompt attention.
How to contact us in an emergency ?
When should you go to the hospital emergency department?
Go to the emergency department immediately or call 112 if you have :
-
significant swelling of the face or neck;
-
difficulty breathing or swallowing;
-
a high fever accompanied by pain;
-
a serious injury to the head or face.
